У програмима и документацији КДЕ-а помиње се мноштво назива програма, додатака, тема и шема, места на Вебу, технологија, имена аутора, као и акронима који могу бити све то редом, и још много другог. Како су ови називи и акроними што транскрибовани што преведени на српски, кориснику-читаоцу не мора обавезно бити очигледан њихов изворни облик. А он може затребати кад корисник пожели да потражи појам на Интернету, или да га помене у комуникацији на енглеском. Како би се оваква повремена недоумица што лакше и брже разрешила, наредне стране дају транскрипције и преводе назива и акронима — скраћено трапнакрон — коришћених широм КДЕ-а. (Трапнакрон се разликује од <a href="../pojmovnik.php">појмовника</a> по томе што просто спаја локализоване и изворне синтагме именског карактера, док појмовник бележи, тумачи, и међусобно повезује појмове свих врста.)

С обзиром на изречену намену, уноси трапнакрона поређани су „равно“, без подела по категоријама (нпр. помешана су имена програма и аутора) и тачног облика каквим се срећу у тексту (нпр. имена аутора су заведена као име-презиме, а не презиме-име). Уноси су дати у оба смера: од транскрипција и превода ка изворима, када се тражи изворни назив које се крије иза прилагођеног, и од извора ка транскрипцијама и преводима, када се жели доћи до прилагођеног назива за знани изворни. Под „извором“ се подразумева или стварни извор или транскрипција на неки страни језик, у зависности од тога које је доступно и колико се разликују, а понегде су дата оба та облика.

Напомена: Облици истакнути *црвеном бојом и звездицом застарели су, односно не јављају се у најновијим и наступајућим издањима преведеног материјала. До застаревања типично долази услед измене превода, или побољшања транскрипције. Ови облици се неко време чувају у трапнакрону како би била подржана ранија издања која су још увек у значајној циркулацији међу корисницима.
